100 Reasons Why I Love Wendy
Below is a copy of an email I sent to Wendy just after my first trip to visit her in the USA. Obviously I have removed the header information and the reply address, but other than that it is unedited apart from minor reformatting. The mail program I was using at the time had odd settings for line length:-
1st March, 1998.
Dearest-in-the-world-to-me,
I decided to make the attempt to write down 100 of the many, many reasons I Love You so very much. There is no particular order, and this is by no means a complete list!
1. The way you get up early just to chat to me.
2. The way you look at me.
3. The way you smile at me.
4. The way you touch me.
5. The way you say my name.
6. Your cute accent.
7. The softness of your voice.
8. Your great patience and understanding.
9. The way you move your lips.
10. The way you wiggle your hips.
11. The way you drive your car.
12. The way you hold my hand.
13. The way you feel.
14. The way you move.
15. The way you think.
16. The way you understand me.
17. The way you are always so pleased to see me.

And that took a lot less time than you might think! I could have gone on for so much longer..
You really are so very special to me Wendy, My Love, and the list of reasons could never be finished. You add so many more to them each minute of the day, and I hope you realise that every one of the reasons above, as well as all the many others, are heartfelt and sincere.
I know it will take some time for you to really believe that, but I'm sure in my heart that you will. We are both a little wary of believing in others, it's nothing personal, for either of us, we will overcome it together though, I can feel it.
This love of ours is so special, and it sends waves of emotion back and forth through time and space, touching every corner of our being. It may be a little scarey to have no control over it all, but the sensations and emotions it gives more than make up for it.
We both have to learn to go with the flow, and enjoy this extraordinary gift. It can be tough to surrender to the heart when we are so used to ignoring it and using our intellect, but some things are just meant to be. The heart can be such a wonderous thing, if we just listen to it and follow its lead into the future.
I think I said that right, it's difficult to define it in words, and even in deeds, some things are just too wonderful to explain fully. I am not sure anyone would believe it if you could...
